Rupa Kale and her husband moved to New Providence nearly a decade ago for the same reasons so many have… to raise her family and take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that living in the area provides. As a parent of two children in the New Providence School District, she is thrilled to take on this challenge and is eager to serve on the New Providence Borough Council.

Mrs. Kale is well known and well respected throughout the community. Whether through her enthusiastic efforts in volunteering at town and school events, through her appointment to the Economic Development Committee, or through her constant presence with her family at community-building events, Rupa’s committment to and passion for New Providence are clear. Many borough residents will also recognize Mrs. Kale from her role as founder and moderator of the New Providence Community Forum on Facebook. Maintaining a space for civil discourse on social media has never been more important, and she is rightly proud of the community and conversation that has developed within that space.

With her business acumen and career experience, Rupa promises to bring a level of expertise to the Council that bridges the worlds of corporate fiscal diligence and enterepreneurial instinct. As a manager of corporate budgets approaching half a billion dollars, she is practiced at analyzing systems to spot and leverage inefficiencies to raise the bottom line. As an entrepreneur who had to fight regional and state ordinances–and win–to open her business, she understands the challenges facing small business owners; she knows how to support them and foster an environment for innovation.

Rupa Kale is excited to share new ideas that will further strengthen our great community. She is committed to bringing greater transparency to the Council, finding and eliminating inefficiencies in how the town operates, and supporting the increasingly-diverse community of families who are proud to call New Providence home.
